"Hands are more than just functional; they are an energy map of our consciousness and health"
When I first started learning about meditation I would always see people cross legged with there hands resting on their knee, with the thumb and index finger touching. I thought at first it was a way to relax yourself and focus, but instead I have learned it actually has important meaning. When you rest your hands palm up with your index finger and thumb touching is called Gyan Mudra which means "seal of knowledge". The importance of Gyan Mudra is that it stimulates knowledge, wisdom, receptivity, and calmness. If you have an important decision to make, with position will help you find wisdom and seek your answer.
Julia,
ReplyDeleteI love gyan mudra. It is one of my favorite mudras, so I am happy that you are aware of it. You should keep this mudra in mind before you take a test.
